INEC Resident Electoral Commisioner in Kano, Mikaila
Abdulahi, has died this morning in a fire incident, according to a PREMIUM TIMES correspondent in Kano .
He quoted residents of Kano in describing the fire as “strange”, PREMIUM TIMES reports.
Mr. Mikaila, who coordinated last Saturday’s presidential and national assembly election in the
state, reportedly died in a strange fire incident at his residence on Thursday night or Friday morning.
Details of the incident are yet unclear, but repoMr. Mikaila’s wife and two children were also killed in the incident.
The spokesperson of the Kano state Police Command confirmed the incident.
