10 Steps Towards a Better Skin

1. Check your water
“Soft water (e.g rain water) doesn’t remove soap well, so it can leave a residue on your skin,” says Susan H. Weinkle, an assistant clinical professor of
dermatology at the University of South Florida. If your water is soft, use face and body cleansers sparingly.
Hard water, on the other hand, doesn’t allow soap to foam easily, making you use even more cleanser.

2. Drink Green Tea
If your complexion is red or full of spots, green tea's anti-inflammatory properties can be helpful. It is best drank iced. Another benefit is that it helps prevent wrinkles. Experts have even suggested that you have a tea cup instead of a coffee mug.

3. Reduce your stress level
It affects every part of your body, including your skin. Research has shown that stress increases the body’s production of hormones
such as cortisol, which can make skin oilier and decrease its ability to fight off acne-causing bacteria. Stress management techniques like yoga, meditation, deep breathing can be very helpful.

4. Breathe Quality Air
The quality of the air you breathe in also have an effect on your skin. Avoid breathing in smoke. If you use oils cooking, use a fan in your kitchen. A humidifier can also be used in the room to reduce this problem.

5. Use Plane Toothpastes. Toothpastes with added flavours like cinnamon or with tartar control ingredients can contribute to a skin disease known as perioral dermatitis. Use a basic, plane toothpaste instead.

6. Watch Indoor Sun Rays
Yes. Sun rays usually come in through windows in the home. Also in the cars. Research shows that parts of the body more exposed to sun rays have more skin problems than the less exposed parts. While going out, always apply a moisturizer on your skin.

7. Research from the Harvard School of Public Health found that teenage girls who take a lot of milk are about 30 percent more likely to have acne (pimples) than those who drink less. It is unclear how exactly milk products can cause acne, but some scientists believe that the natural
hormones present in milk may be the causative agents.

8. If you have dry skin, your choice of face wash may be even more important than your moisturizer. A
non soap cleanser is very good because it replaces the moisture barrier in the skin. You can use your
cleanser to avoid dryness, eczema and their treatment when they plate up.

9. Some oral contraceptives, antibiotics, fertility drugs, and antiseizure medications can cause skin disorders. If you find out your skin is reacting to a drug you're taking, talk to your physician. They may lower the dosage or switch your medication entirely.

10. When you're sleeping, the skin's repair mechanism swings into action. Lack of sleep stresses the body, making it produce hormones that may cause skin problems. Seven to Eight hours if snoozing daily is good for your skin.
