FG demands bodies of executed Nigerians

The Federal Government has condemned the execution of four Nigerians by the Indonesian
authorities over drug-related offences, despite pleas for clemency by President Goodluck Jonathan.

The government, while commiserating with the families of the deceased, demanded the
repatriation of the corpses of the executed Nigerians.

It explained that they would be given decent burials by their various communities. A terse statement on Wednesday from the Public
Communications Division of Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja, gave the names of the executed
Nigerians as Martin Anderson, Okwudili Oyatanze, Jaminu Abashin and Sylvester Obiekwe.

The government warned Nigerians to desist from drug trafficking and other offences.

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan suspends the Minister for Foreign Affairs

The Federal Government has suspended the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amb Danjuma Sheni, for allegedly recalling Nigeria’s Charge D’Affairs in South Africa in the wake of the xenophobic attacks in the former apartheid enclave.

A top government official told journalists in Aso Rock on Tuesday that Sheni was suspended for embarrassing President Goodluck Jonathan for inviting the envoy without receiving the President’s approval.

The official said the Head of Service of the Federation, Danladi Kifasi, acting on the order of Jonathan, had already queried Sheni and asked him to reply within 24 hours.

“There will still be further consequence,” the official, who asked not to be named, said.

He said the President was miffed that the ministry embarrassed him again, a few weeks after the diplomatic row between Nigeria and Morocco over whether or not Jonathan had a telephone talk with King Mohammed VI of Morocco.

Read what he said

“The permanent secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been suspended and queried for embarrassing the President by not receiving approval from him before inviting the Charge D’Affairs.

“The President on Monday directed the Head of Service to query him and he has 24hours to respond to the query. You will recall that that was the second embarrassment with this one coming shortly after the Morocco saga.

“The permanent secretary was to be dismissed immediately but for the civil service rule. Even at that, there will still be further consequence.

“His offence is that he invited the Charge D’Affairs without clearing from the President. The truth is that in this age and time, the ministry can make clarification from the Charge D’Affairs without necessarily inviting him. There is what is called diplomatic dispatches. They can also speak with the envoy on the telephone.

“As of now, a new permanent secretary has been redeployed to the ministry to replace him.”

Media reports over the weekend had indicated that Nigeria had recalled its envoys from South Africa to protest the xenophobic attacks on foreigners by South Africans.

The South African authorities had frowned on the reported action, which was described as unnecessary.

However, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, had, in an interview with State House correspondents on Monday, said there was no truth in the report that Nigerian envoys in South Africa had been recalled.

Abati had explained that the country’s Charge D’Affairs was merely invited home for consultation.

My love for perfumes led me into perfume production - Belinda

Belinda’s luxury perfume brand, Blessings, has since its debut in 2010 adorned the fifth floor of Harrods UK, the world’s most famous departmental store.

That particular floor is notable for stocking exclusive brands only, products for which you never get free samples.

The UK-based, Belinda is Nigerian but had the first five years of her life in Ghana where she was born, and then lived in Nigeria until the year 2000 when she moved to the UK with her husband.  During a recent interview with Vanguard, talks about how she climbed the wall of fame through passion for satisfaction.

WHAT led you into perfume production?

I didn’t plan to produce and sell perfumes. I so much loved perfumes that I suddenly desired to make some for my personal use. That sounds crazy, I know, but I wanted to wear something different from what others were wearing.

I wanted a perfume whose production I would be part of from start to finish, and that eventually led me to Roja Dove, British world-renowned perfumer. Roja is actually the Nose of the United Kingdom for perfumes.

World renowned perfumer

To see Roja, one would have to book for six months but God did everything miraculously for me. On meeting me, Roja was actually thrilled by the effect scents had on me and was with me all the way.

I soon got my own perfume, though without a name. The urge to go into it as a business arose when people began asking where they could find my perfume to buy because they loved the fragrance.

The name Blessings comes across as spiritual; why adopt such for a luxury product?

Life is full of blessings. I’m of the school of thought that we should count our blessings always rather than complain for the things we do not have. I got the inspiration for that name on my way from church one Sunday and that moment, I made a final decision regardless of whatever misconception. Hence, today I have the Blessings range of fragrances.

We’re talking about a luxury brand here and you weren’t a celebrity; what was the reception like?

It was incredible. The first launch was in 2010 and I did only fifty with each selling at six hundred and ninety (690) pounds; that price is higher now though. The price couldn’t be less because I used some of the world’s finest ingredients. Besides, it took two years to personally travel to different parts of the world to select those ingredients and produce the brand.

And what eventually happened at the launch with such exorbitant price tag?

Actually, when it was time to launch out, I was very much scared because I felt nobody knew me apart from friends and relatives who liked my perfume. You know, everyone would prefer patronize designer brands with known names. But I was stunned to find that on the day of the launch, I had no bottle left; everything was sold out because Roja involved the great British press in the launch. Some had been put on display at Harrods, but three days after the launch as well, I got a call from Harrods, saying seventeen people had booked for my perfume and were waiting. I however had to let them know they had to wait for another six months because till date, each production takes six months. You know, the bottles are hand-blown and are totally handmade; they’re produced in Czech Republic and are also refillable.

So that means you lost those seventeen customers?

No! I didn’t. Harrods relayed my message to the clients and they said they were ready to wait for six months!

 Property management

I was surprised but then it dawned on me that I had also waited for a Hermes Bag for one year, with my own money. So, it was amazing to know it was my turn for people to wait for me.

You said you weren’t a celebrity when you went into this business; who were you?

I was just a ‘house-wife’ taking care of my home and kids. I was partially into property management, though. I just loved perfumes so much that I wanted to know about them. I had to travel to India, Grenada, Vietnam, Egypt, the border between Somalia and Kenya, France, Czech Republic and some other places. I smelt and sampled a thousand oils before deciding on the choice of fragrance. You know, there are things in life for which you don’t need a university degree and I think, for me, scent is one. Scents had become second-nature to me and I knew exactly what quality I was searching for. By this time, my kids were a bit grown up (they’re 19 and 17 years old now) and I thank God my husband was very supportive.

It sounds like you also mix the ingredients yourself…

No, I’m not qualified to do that; professionals handle that. You need a professional before the UK law will let you even sell your perfume.

Let us talk about this obsession with scents; how did it come about?

I’ve had this obsession since childhood. I remember back then in boarding school in Delta State when all the girls adored the smell of my pomade- a gift from my mother. In fact, in exchange for sweets, I supplied my friends with a scoop of my pomade. Now as a mother, I love it when my children come to kiss me goodnight and they acknowledge the way I smell. I think every woman should learn to wear perfume in bed.

Buhari - Boko Haram is a religious fraud

The APC President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari has said that Boko Haram was nothing but a religious fraud.

Buhari said this when leaders of various communities from Nassarawa State led by the State Governor, Mr. Tanko Almakura paid him a congratulatory visit in Abuja

He noted that no genuine religion would support the shedding of blood.

This is what he said:

“The fraud called Boko Haram can be defeated by denying it a recruitment base. No religion allows for the killing of children in school dormitory, in markets and places of worship. They have nothing to do with religion. They are terrorists and we are going to deal with them as they deal with terrorists anywhere,” he said.

“The worst thing anybody can do is to deny children access to education. That will be destructive to their lives and we are not going to allow that to happen,” the President-elect assured.

“As at now, the government does not even know how many revenue accounts it has. We will give all the tiers what is due to them but will hold them to be accountable as we would the federal government.”

He went further to say,
“From one state, I now have 22 political laboratories.”

He commended Governor Al-Makura for surviving his many impeachment plots, saying “without Nassarawa, there would not have been an APC.”

Kenny Kore twin sister kidnapped!!!

The twin sister of  Kenny K'ore, a gospel artist, has been kidnapped! Taiwo Oluwatoyin Akinbode (pictured above) traveled to Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Friday, April 16 for a job prospect when she fell into the well-set trap of the kidnappers. A ransom of N5m is being demanded from the family for her release.

It was a well-laid job opportunity scam on the internet that attracted Taiwo to PH - and her current ordeal. A source close to the family claimed Taiwo's two phones had gone quiet, except when the brother was called to make ransom demands. On a number of occasions, the unfortunate woman was heard wailing for help as she was apparently being tortured.

The family has contacted the police in Lagos, and PH, the Anti-kidnapping unit in Lagos and PH, SSS, NIA, AIG, and IG's office, but all have proved abortive

The family is now asking that well meaning Nigerians support Kenny, and his family in prayers, and in anyway possible to get his sister back safe and sound.

You can reach the family through: 0807 347 9563

Tonto Dikeh and Toyin Lawani come for each other again.

Sometime last year, the two former besties had a brawl over a style made by  Toyin which she claimed Tonto stole, and she also claimed  Tonto was owing her, they even went as far as threatened each other.

I guess they are not done as this morning, Toyin Lawani uploaded a cartoon character of Tonto on her  instagram page even though it's not clear what she meant,  Tonto also responded.

Peter Okoye's life, family and career!!!

Peter Okoye's life, family and career!!!

Hi FJB readers,we bring to you a glimpse into the private life of Peter Okoye, one of the duo of Psquare.

In an exclusive interview with Vanguard, Peter Okoye talks about his life, career, family and every other thing you want to know.

Grab a drink and snack before you proceed.

You and your brother started P-Square during an era when pop culture wasn’t so popular in Nigeria. How did you pull through to create the phenomenon that you are?
For us, it was all about the love of music. Music was something we loved doing. All we wanted was not just for people to listen to P-Square, but for people to start listening to Nigerian music too. And we did this by incorporating it with what the Western world was doing.
At that point, if we started singing like Nigeria’s Osadebe and the other great artistes of the time, our music would have remained local. So, we decided to spice it up with the urban feel, although people weren’t loving us as much, they were getting to know what we were all about.

Twins usually share common traits. What would you say is the one thing you and Paul share as twins brothers aside from music?
I would say we share our line of ideas. Sometimes, when we go out and I want to buy an outfit, if I’m not so confident I’ll try it on Paul; if it looks good on him, it wil l look good on me.

How has your experience been since you began performing on the international platform?
It has been good. I remember when we had our first concert outside Nigeria. It was fantastic because when we were young, we used to see people faint, cry and rush for autographs of Michael Jackson. We thought they were just acting until it started happening to us.
Finally, we knew things have really changed. So, when we witnessed that, I remember it was in Sierra Leone; the stage was built on one side for people to sit one way but instead, the crowd was so much people were sitting all round – up to the point that the backdrop behind us was dropped for the people at the back to have a good view of the stage.
That was a moment of epiphany; we knew that this music is serious business.

Your recent album, “Double Trouble” featured international acts T.I. in ‘Ejeajo’ and Awilo in ‘Enemy Solo’. What inspired these collaborations?
For P-Square, this album was one of the smoothest albums we have produced. We weren’t as stressed, as  usual, in any way. At this point, we know what the people want so we wanted to try something new. Nobody expects us to do an old school funk beat. I call it ‘New Sound’.
‘Ejeajo’, especially, was unexpected. T.I. wasn’t there, initially, when we did the song. I gave him ‘Shekini’ collabo but as soon as he heard ‘Ejeajo’, he was like “That’s the song”. That was how we got that.
The same thing happened with Awilo and Jermaine Jackson. Jermaine had to fly in from Minnesota to do the song in our house and Awilo came in from London to our house as well. It has just been fantastic.

Which international artiste have you been anxious to work with or have you already worked with?
For me, it’s Michael Jackson. When he died years ago, it hurt. I never met him but it would have been a dream come true. This is one of the reasons I wanted to work with the Jacksons. That was why we also did ‘Personally’ amongst some others which were tributes to Michael Jackson. As soon as the video came out, less than three days later, the Jackson family put a call through to us to send their appreciation.
Right now, someone we are looking forward to working with is a secret. We love surprising our fans.

Do you write your songs by yourself or do you have someone who does it for you?
Honestly, we write our songs by ourselves.
For our first, second and third albums, we wrote and produced everything by ourselves. From the fourth album, we
started bringing in people; even the last album, apart from about two or three songs that people wrote for us –
like ‘Ejeajo’ and ‘Shekini’, which were written by V-Tech – the rest were from us.

Would you say your music has strong sexual references with titles like ‘Do Me’, ‘Roll It’ etc.?
I think it may have a bit but it depends on what the people want to listen to; like nobody knows what ‘Shekini’ means. We try not to overdo things – that would upset a certain sphere of people. So, P-Square has love songs, Christian songs, sexual songs – as you put it – but it all depends on what the people want.

Some of your songs are usually Igbo themed, showing you are still very close to your roots. How would you say this has affected your music and personality?
Sometimes, if we don’t sing in Igbo, our people will crucify us (laughs). If you listen to P-Square, you will hear Igbo, English, Pidgin English; even French we try. For us, English is a universal language and I’m not singing in Igbo to try and please my people but I like to inculcate my culture through music.

How would you describe your personal style?
I’m just me. To be honest, I don’t like people styling me because they never get me. If I’m doing it wrong, let me be. I am at a point that I want to wear what I’m comfortable with; not that they will give me something expensive or labeled and it doesn’t still fit. So, for me, anything that fits me is what I wear.

Would you say that your style ideology goes for P-Square as a group?
My brother is worse (laughs). I can try to accept what I’m styled with but he won’t.

What does ‘Ejeajo’ mean?
‘Ejeajo’ is like saying ‘Ejekajo’ in Yoruba which means ‘come let’s dance’.

How does it feel being married?
It feels great. I won’t say I’m more responsible now because I have been responsible long before getting married. I have two kids. One way marriage has changed me is, I now know what our parents went through in raising us.
For me, I’m now more composed. I try not to worry too much. I’m more focused because I need to work hard to look after my family.

Has your life changed since you became a father and has it, in any way, affected you and your career?
Yes, absolutely! My life has changed but it hasn’t affected my life. I still show my six packs. I still kiss people in the crowd. I still take my semi-nude pictures, travel etc. I’m still me and it’s all still part of the business.

There have been rumours that P-Square is planning to split or has split. Is this accurate?
Not at all. We just had a minor quarrel just like everyone who has siblings would. We fight and make-up; we fought many times last year but we still go on stage and perform and nobody knows. I can’t come out and say Paul and I have never fought.
It’s like a couple who has been married for over 20 years would come out and say they have never fought. It’s
impossible; we are humans. It’s a normal thing.

There have also been rumours of your manager and brother, Jude, resigning as your manager. Is this accurate?
It’s the same thing; family quarrels. We argued and made-up. He didn’t resign. We are still working together
and, even when we quarrel, we don’t allow it to collide with business. There is a line drawn there.

How do you cope with fame?
Well, sometimes it limits us from doing stuf. I’m kind of an impulse shopper. I see something I like on the road while driving but I can’t stop to buy it. I love akara very much but I can’t even stop to buy it. Most times, its’ like from house to work and vice versa. I can’t take a walk and I’m used to walking with security. Somehow, it doesn’t make me a free person but it’s okay.

There has been talk of tension in the home front between your brother and your wife, Lola Omotayo. Can you comment on that?
Like I said, family fights. But we settle it in-house.

You guys portray an image of living luxurious lives with jets and lavish cars. How has this affected your image in the public eye?
It didn’t affect us. As a matter of fact, it made us even stronger. A lot of people think we are showing off but the truth is if we were not showing off, you would not know what we are worth. If you see me on okada, you won’t pay me ten million to come and do a concert. They say, everything we do – people post it; everything we have, we show off and that we are not Dangote. My dear, Dangote is not in showbiz. Whatever we do, we do because that’s the way it’s supposed to be. What we do is show-business. It’s a show and it’s business so that’s what we do.

What is your daily routine like? When do you go to bed, wake up etc.?
I don’t go to bed; I fall asleep (laughs) – meaning, I don’t have a particular bed time because most of our shows are at night. With the way we travel and time zones changing; with that, anytime sleep hits me, I just switch off my phone and tell them not to disturb me for the next three hours or so. I take my nap.
Secondly, I love picking up my kids from school, dressing them up, even bathing them – all by myself. I have domestic staff at home but I still love doing all that myself.

What’s your diet like and how do you keep fit?
Honestly, I don’t diet. I eat whatever I want to eat. I can wake up in the morning and eat eba. People ask me: ‘how do you keep fit’? I just tell them nothing. I am a workaholic. I don’t visit the gym that much anymore. I do what they call the Chinese work-out, just regular pull ups.
I also play soccer; then I rehearse. I can take eba from morning to night.

How do you relax?
I relax, probably, when we’re going to another country. When we get there, we get a hotel. I immediately find the pool. I love the pool. I just take a cool dip and dive and I’m happy.

Where is your favourite holiday location?
I’m not really the holiday-travelling kind of person. At the moment, the only place in Africa I’ve been to and I love is Senegal. There’s a lovely resort there; but outside Africa, I love St Lucia. It’s in the Caribbean.

How do you shuffle your work life and family time?
It’s difficult to manage. Sometimes, when you leave to work, you keep thinking about the people you left behind and vice versa. People don’t know the risks our job entails. Some people fly once a year and they panic on the plane. We fly two or three times a week with all the plane crashes happening. People don’t see that. All they see is the luxury life. Trying to cope with family is hard but we try and, sometimes, I travel with them as well.

What are your plans for the future?
The future is now. For me, the future is what I see now. I lost both my parents a few years ago. To me, my future is what my kids will become. I am okay and I don’t plan to spend so much money buying jewellery and wearing designers. My kids can do that. Some things we weren’t privileged to have then, I want my kids to have now.

Do you think your son has a spark of music? Will he be a P-Square prodigy?
I think he does. He loves dancing, music and soccer. He loves everything I love so, I’m teaching him the reins.
He’s learning how to play instruments like guitar and the piano.

Would you say your music has contributed in the growth of the music industry in Nigeria?
Absolutely! I’m not boasting but I think what Paul and I came up with for the Nigerian industry was dynamic. We were the first to start making money from album sales; we turned it around. Producers go to marketers and say ‘anything you have give me’ but we structured it. You have to pay us to release it; I mean, quite a few of us – Tu-Face, Black Face etc. – my mates at the time. The way things are now, I’m happy we made it work.

What would you say you owe your success to?
I wish my mum was still alive. She gave us moral support, especially with her prayers. I owe her a lot. She was always there. I’m happy she enjoyed some part of her labour for P-Square.

Any advice for up and coming artistes who look up to you?
What I always tell them is nobody can make you bigger except yourself. If you like, do an album with track one featuring P-Square, track two Michael Jackson and so on, none of that will make you big, You should always do you, be you and stop condemning yourself.
Some come up with their CDs and they’re not in the least bit confident that it’s any good. They will be like: ‘It’s not finished and I know it may not be very good but just tell me what you think’. In my mind, I’m not convinced. What I want is for you to say, ‘Men, Oga P, see this my song eh, e sweet pass all of una songs join!’ That will make me listen to you.

APC accuses Jonathan's Administration, threatens to probe them.

The All Progressives Congress has threatened to probe the outgoing administration of President Goodluck Jonathan over some “last-minute dubious activities” ahead of the May 29 handover.

The party alleged that the outgoing administration had been looting the nation’s resources, hurriedly recruiting into the public service and privatisatising key financial institutions.

The APC, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, on Sunday, said such actions would have serious repercussions after May 29.

It said apart from media reports of such anomalies, the party had received reliable information from members of the public about some dubious actions by key officials of the outgoing Jonathan administration.

They said even though the Buhari's administration does not probe the Jonathan's Administration. Some activities which to them are dubious would be looked into.

Read the statement below:

‘’For example, the National Council on Privatisation, which is headed by the Vice-President, has just approved the financial bid opening for transaction advisers for the privatisation of the three development finance institutions in the country – the Bank of Agriculture, Bank of Industry and Nigeria Commodity Exchange. The question is: What is the rationale for rushing this exercise with just weeks left for this administration?

“Also, there have been reports, not refuted, of a planned hurried recruitment into the Nigeria Immigration Service, after a previous attempt ended in a national tragedy and the fleecing of innocent job seekers by mindless Federal Government officials.

Apart from the fact that this last-minute recruitment is suspect, it is irregular.

“The Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration and Prisons Services Board is only empowered to recruit, promote and discipline only senior officers (levels eight and above). The power to recruit, promote and discipline junior officers is vested in the different services, in this case the Nigeria Immigration Service.

“Therefore, the recruitment exercise now being conducted by the federal civil service under the auspices of the Presidential Committee to Assist on Immigration Recruitment usurps the functions of the board as it relates to the recruitment of Senior Officers (level 08) and that of the immigration service as it relates to Junior Officers (levels 07 and below).”

The party also called the attention of Jonathan to a published report that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Bala Mohammed, plans to use the Federal Capital Development Authority to carry out a secret employment of no fewer than 500 workers before the end of the month.

‘’We do not know if this report, as well as others, is true. But if indeed these rushed privatisation and hurried recruitment exercises – in the twilight of the Jonathan administration – are true, they raise serious questions concerning the reasons behind such actions.”

The APC urged Jonathan to call his officials to order in order to save him of embarrassment.

It said it was such recklessness that led to the downfall of Jonathan’s administration and it would be unfair to bequeath such to the Buhari administration.

“We are therefore compelled to call on President Jonathan to call his officials to order, lest they engage in actions that can later embarrass his administration.

PAINFUL REALITIES OF BEING THE OTHER WOMAN

Painful realities of being the other woman.

No matter how we see it or even what the society calls it, being the other woman is something quite a number of women feel good doing and the fact that she is the other woman does not make her a whore, also it does not mean she has no feelings.

Being the other woman actually hurts.
Everyone has a way of stigmatizing the other woman and they have a right to but lets take a moment to walk in their shoes and see what they pass through.

truths about the other woman.

They deserve better than what they have right now.

Most of them go into the relationship with the knowledge of who they are in the relationship.

Feelings are invested in the relationship. They have their reasons for being in the relationship because it is believed what you know cannot hurt you and it actually pays them off because they are not scared of being cheated on.

They get jealous too.

They feel lonely and want more than they have.

They don't want to be in the shoes of the main woman and they are scared of karma's law.

PAINFUL REALITIES OF BEING THE OTHER WOMAN

1. You can never be proud of your relationship with your man:Everything about the relationship has to be kept secret because you knew you are the second woman and consented to it. You have to play by the rules and have to keep your emotions in check whenever you are in public. This means no going out on dates in public, unless you want to be fuel for gossip. As the one being cheated with, your fellow thief will make sure that you will be far from prying eyes. You will treat each other as strangers when you are in public, but within closed doors, you own each other. In the long run, something like this would take its toll on anyone.

2. You will be stigmatized:  You are still safe to some extent as long as the relationship is kept secret but when people get to know you become stigmatized and you will be seen as a whore and home breaker.

3. You live in denial:  You have to deny that you are dating the man if there is a case of an allegation and this makes you feel guilty for denying the one you love.

4. You see the person you love at his convenience and this created for you boredom and loneliness:When you desire to be with this person you love, you may not be able to because he has to spend time with his family and unless you have other relationships you become lonely and bored.

5. You have to work and walk by his timing: This means you have to wait for your lover’s go signal to do anything, such as the next time the two of you will get to see each other. The waiting game is such a difficult and, oftentimes, frustrating game to play because you are starved for whatever crumbs of affection your lover has to throw at you.
Once your tryst is over, you’re left pining and waiting for the next call, which can take days or even weeks to arrive.

6. You have to deal with the fact that you have no life together:The only enjoyable moments you have together is what you lean on, you can not plan your life together because what you share is something that would go sooner or later.

7. You live in fear of being rejected: You will always have the fear that one day all you both shared would be gone as he'll have gone back fully to his main woman and any time he behaves strangely you think of yourself as the loser.

8. You are guilt-ridden. Many women who have entered these kinds of relationships have often complained of sleepless nights. They find themselves wracked with guilt, especially in those moments when they find themselves to be alone without their lover to comfort them. They are guilty on being the object of sin against another woman. Oftentimes, these women feel that this guilt is a one-way street.

9. You will always come after the main woman:  You are not the first so you are the option, he gives you the left over of what his wife won't have. The first few weeks of the relationship may be filled with love and happiness but as time goes on, it gets dawn on you that you don't belong there and you never will. You will see how the entire situation is affecting you as a person. You will know that he will not be there to comfort you during the days when you are feeling down. You cannot spend the holidays with him, and you cannot help but feel saddened by the fact that he is spending the holidays with his legitimate loved one. You cannot hold his hand when you feel like you need it the most, or put your arms around him whenever you feel lonely.

10. You will freak out with jealousy:The problem with this part is that you may not be able to discuss or make him know how jealous you feel because you knew about her before you started out with him. Also you don't want him to feel insecure with you .

11. The relationship will end: This is the part the other woman never wants to think of but its inevitable and if it doesn't end well, you and your cheating partner may become enemies. You were secret lovers to begin with, and now you must part as strangers. While men have claimed that they are capable of loving more than one woman at the same time, he could only keep his affairs with his mistresses for a certain amount of time. Something such as this cannot last forever. Whether you will be the one who will want to call it quits, or your partner will be the one to initiate it, remember that there is nothing secret that can be hidden forever.

Many women who have found themselves in these precarious situations tend to seek therapy afterwards. There are those who have attested to the fact that being the other woman in the relationship is like committing social suicide. You tend to abandon whatever ideals you have set for yourself in exchange for a few moments of bliss.

60 die in Communal clash over pond

No fewer than 60 persons were feared killed at the weekend in a bloody communal crisis between
Ologba and Egba communities of Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State.
Sunday Vanguard gathered that the latest crisis which left many with varying degrees of injury was a fallout of a lingering dispute between the fishing communities over the ownership of a fishing pond in the area.
The latest crisis between the sister villages came on the heels of last month’s outrageous conflict
in Egba community which claimed close to 100 lives when suspected Fulani herdsmen invaded the community.
A source said, “the truth is that there is no love lost between the two communities whose preoccupation is mainly fishing.
“Unfortunately, the bitter rivalry between the communities and bottled-up anger for one another has lingered for several years and
sometimes resulting in intermittent skirmishes; this latest conflict could have claimed over 60 lives because more bodies are still being recovered from the two communities."

Things to learn from Past relationship

Relationships are meant to come and go until we find the right one, when we experience break-ups we should not consider it as the end of life, though getting over a break-up is not usually so easy, but from every mistake there is always a lesson to learn. Those who think that they’ve wasted time with the wrong person are not right, because relationships also offer you opportunities to understand your past, your fears, your essence and what the meaning of the true love is. Love is not a simple thing. You need some time to learn how to love and value the relationship with your beloved. I hope this article will help you focus on your past and find the answers to all annoying questions that make you feel worried.

Everyone needs free space: Many people think that a true love means that they should spend 24 hours a day together with the person they love. Such schedule will make you lose your identity in a quite short period of time. Remember, everyone needs some free time and space to satisfy their personal needs and do things that make them feel alive. By all means, don’t let your identity die, because it will be difficult to bounce back. The lust period is temporary This wonderful period usually makes you fly on the wings of love. When you are extremely happy, you spend hours dressing to impress your partner and talking about love till the dawn. Unfortunately, the period of butterflies in the stomach ends fast and amorousness turns into a real and adequate love. Love is the period when you are ready to share both good and bad with the person you love. Love really grows when you have no fear to lose and when you absolutely accept all pros and cons of your significant otherOther people don’t belong to you Nowadays we live in a democratic world where people are free and have equal rights and responsibilities. Moreover, we are free to express ourselves and lead an independent life. No matter how long you’ve been together, you should understand that the person you love isn’t your property. People who really love each other are committed to this beautiful feeling and treat each other with respect. Your love is your muse but not your possession. You cannot control the behavior and every step of your partner, because it will only break trust in your relationship. The only adequate thing you can do is to trust him and try to create common rules of commitment both of you should stick to.

Complete yourself I do agree that other people can improve you and fill your life with joy and wonderful colors, but you should realize that people will never complete you or live up to your expectations. There’s no need for validation from your partner. First of all, you should learn to cultivate self-love before you can share it with your beloved. Try to develop yourself until you find yourself confident and complete. It requires you to change your actions, thoughts, emotions and behaviors

Don’t even try to change your partner You can change many things in this world, but it’s almost impossible to change your partner’s outlook and habits. All you can do is to show the right path to your partner and if they have an internal desire to change, they’ll make a shift. A human psyche has the capacity to ignore things and ideas strongly imposed by others. This way your partner may achieve temporary improvements and then return to their casual habits again. If you cannot stand something in your partner, then you should shift your energy and react to the situation in a different way. It’s better to stay calm and respond everything in cold blood.

Get rid of your inner conflictsYour attitude and behavior in your relationship can be the reflection of your fears and anxiety which reign in your sub consciousness. If you want to have a healthy relationship, you should start from healing your inner world from fears and conflicts. Plus, you need to do all possible things to boost your self-esteem. Begin to love yourself and you’ll be able to share your love with somebody else.

Learn how to let go gracefully It seems that some relationships teach us how to honorably let go. After a considerable reflection on the opportunity to build a happy and healthy relationship, you may realize that this love doesn’t cost your time and energy to continue. Unhappy relationships teach you to struggle for happiness. Furthermore, you should use the opportunity to let go of the past in order to be able to find the true love of all your life and cultivate a long and loving relationship. Don’t become disheartened the next time you face a relationship break-up, because it may help you develop a new vision of the world and start a better relationship. Relationships are an important part of your personal development. Both happy and unhappy relationships help you grow and become an all-rounded person. You should be strong enough to overcome the pain and other challenges, if you want to be happy.

Fayose prevents Law makers from carrying out their legislative duties - APC

Members of the The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has called the attention of the security officers and Nigerians to the state of security breaches in Ekiti state , saying Governor Ayodele Fayose was responsible for the state of siege Ekiti people have found themselves.

While reacting to the blockage of entry to Ado-Ekiti on Friday morning, Taiwo Olatunbosun said Gov. Fayose ordered the blockade of the entry points to prevent the 19 APC lawmakers from accessing  the House of Assembly to carry out their legislative duties.

These are his words:

“In this latest show of shame arising from his apprehension about Thursday’s Abuja Federal High Court’s refusal to grant his application to stop the 19 APC lawmakers from impeaching him,  he employed the services of the drivers union to cause untold hardship to Ekiti people who were prevented from going about their lawful duties.

“We have now realised that the  two-day public holiday he declared in the state for peace is to actualise this evil plan. We have also realized that the man that is supposed to be the state chief security officer is the state chief security risk.

“It is so bad that the dead was not spared from this barbaric act as a casket conveying a dead body was forced open by Fayose’s thugs because they suspected it could be Speaker Adewale Omirin who was about to be smuggled into the Assembly.

“A man who claims to be popular does not need to employ the services of thugs and the coercion of all labour unions into embarking on a solidarity rally to prove that he is popular.

“In our view,  Fayose ought to have subjected himself to the scrutiny of the lawmakers who have pledged to give him a fair hearing on the allegations of constitutional breaches against him,” he said.

“We urge the security agents to be alive to their duties by calling the governor to order as he cannot continue to put Ekiti State under needless siege. This impunity must stop before Fayose turns Ekiti into a banana republic,” Olatubosun concluded.

Buhari, Jonathan clash over handover date

There are indications that the All Progressives Congress is uncomfortable with the May 28 handover date proposed by the out-going administration.

Investigation by Saturday PUNCH revealed that the outgoing President Goodluck Jonathan and the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) are set to clash over a proposal by the Jonathan team to hand over the mantle of leadership to Buhari on May the 28th, instead of the 29th.

Saturday PUNCH gathered that the Buhari team was already over what they considered as an act of ill-will laced with sinister motives.

This is sequel to an announcement by the Minister of Information, Senator Patricia Akwashiki, that President Jonathan would perform the handover ceremony at a dinner on May 28.

Akwashiki made the announcement after Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council meeting.

She told journalists, “By May 28, the President intends to have the formal handover done at a dinner so that we can reserve May 29 for the incoming government.”

However, since the return of democracy in 1999, the traditional date for the handover of power has been May 29, which is also observed as Democracy Day.

This tradition has been the vogue for the past 16 years. It also presents an opportunity for the outgoing President to formally present the instrument of authority to his successor in the full glare of members of the public, local and international media, as well as foreign dignitaries.

A top member of the All Progressives Congress, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to speak to the media said, “It is simply not acceptable, we are rejecting it, it is a trap.”

When contacted, a member of the Buhari campaign team, Mr. Rotimi Fashakin, said while he was not privy to any meeting on the subject yet, it was only logical to ask Nigerians not to rest on their oars until total liberation was achieved.

He described the announcement by President Jonathan to hand over a day earlier than was due as a ploy to rubbish the gains made with the historic win by the opposition APC.

Fashakin said, “It (the proposed handover on the 28th) portends ill for the political destiny of this nation.

“That statement is loaded and it shows that the Nigerian people should not rest yet that there is still ominous signs which we should never take for granted. If Jonathan truly said he is handing over on the 28th it presupposes that he will be absent on the 29th.

“Number one, if he hands over on the 28th to the President-elect, does Gen. Muhammadu Buhari start to act effectively on that date? The answer is an emphatic NO.

“GMB does not start to act on that date, if you get what I mean. Handing over to GMB on that date is not only meaningless, it is stupid. It has no meaning in law, or reality. It means that for 24 hours before GMB takes over there will be a vacuum.”

10 Steps Towards a Better Skin

1. Check your water
“Soft water (e.g rain water) doesn’t remove soap well, so it can leave a residue on your skin,” says Susan H. Weinkle, an assistant clinical professor of
dermatology at the University of South Florida. If your water is soft, use face and body cleansers sparingly.
Hard water, on the other hand, doesn’t allow soap to foam easily, making you use even more cleanser.

2. Drink Green Tea
If your complexion is red or full of spots, green tea's anti-inflammatory properties can be helpful. It is best drank iced. Another benefit is that it helps prevent wrinkles. Experts have even suggested that you have a tea cup instead of a coffee mug.

3. Reduce your stress level
It affects every part of your body, including your skin. Research has shown that stress increases the body’s production of hormones
such as cortisol, which can make skin oilier and decrease its ability to fight off acne-causing bacteria. Stress management techniques like yoga, meditation, deep breathing can be very helpful.

4. Breathe Quality Air
The quality of the air you breathe in also have an effect on your skin. Avoid breathing in smoke. If you use oils cooking, use a fan in your kitchen. A humidifier can also be used in the room to reduce this problem.

5. Use Plane Toothpastes. Toothpastes with added flavours like cinnamon or with tartar control ingredients can contribute to a skin disease known as perioral dermatitis. Use a basic, plane toothpaste instead.

6. Watch Indoor Sun Rays
Yes. Sun rays usually come in through windows in the home. Also in the cars. Research shows that parts of the body more exposed to sun rays have more skin problems than the less exposed parts. While going out, always apply a moisturizer on your skin.

7. Research from the Harvard School of Public Health found that teenage girls who take a lot of milk are about 30 percent more likely to have acne (pimples) than those who drink less. It is unclear how exactly milk products can cause acne, but some scientists believe that the natural
hormones present in milk may be the causative agents.

8. If you have dry skin, your choice of face wash may be even more important than your moisturizer. A
non soap cleanser is very good because it replaces the moisture barrier in the skin. You can use your
cleanser to avoid dryness, eczema and their treatment when they plate up.

9. Some oral contraceptives, antibiotics, fertility drugs, and antiseizure medications can cause skin disorders. If you find out your skin is reacting to a drug you're taking, talk to your physician. They may lower the dosage or switch your medication entirely.

10. When you're sleeping, the skin's repair mechanism swings into action. Lack of sleep stresses the body, making it produce hormones that may cause skin problems. Seven to Eight hours if snoozing daily is good for your skin.

Supreme Court instructs Ondo Rep to vacate seat.

The Supreme Court on Friday ordered ‎ a member of House of Representatives representing Akure South/North Federal Constituency of Ondo State, ‎Ifedayo Abegunde, to vacate his seat on account of his defection from the Labour Party, which sponsored his election in 2011, to the now defunct Action Congress of Nigeria.

‎In a unanimous decision by the seven-man panel, led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mahmud Mohammed, the apex court held that Abegunde’s defection could not be justified since his excuse of purported division in the Labour Party was not in existence in the “national structure” of the party.
The court noted that the division and factionalisation, cited by Abegunde as his excuse for abandoning the LP, was only at the state level.

Justice Musa Muhammad, who read the lead judgment, held that only a “division” that makes it “impossible or impracticable” for the party to function, by virtue of the provision in Section 68(1)(g) of the constitution, justifies a person’s defection to another party.

Abegunde had defected from LP to the ACN in 2011, and in a bid to pre-empt the party from recalling him, filed a suit at the Federal High Court.

He lost the case at the Federal High Court and the Court of Appeal and subsequently appealed to the Supreme Court.

South Africans protest Xenophobic killings

Up to 5,000 people have taken part in a rally against xenophobia in South Africa's coastal city of Durban following attacks on foreigners.

President Jacob Zuma condemned the violence, which have claimed at least five lives, as "shocking", and called for calm to be restored.

The Zulu king has been accused of fuelling the attacks. He denies this.
Many jobless South Africans accuse foreigners of taking jobs in a country where the unemployment rate is 24%.

"No amount of frustration or anger can justify the attacks on foreign nationals and the looting of their shops," President Zuma told parliament on Thursday.

Protesters marched through Durban chanting "Down with xenophobia" and "A United Africa", led by the city mayor and the premier of KwaZulu-Natal province.
