Prostitute dies after sex marathon

A commercial sex worker has died after sex romp with customers in a brothel in Obollo-Afor, Enugu State.
The incident, which occurred on Saturday, led to the arrest of one Ikechukwu Oga, who was the last
customer that spent the night with the deceased.
Ikechukwu had gone to a brothel where he met with the deceased and struck a sex deal.
Having agreed on the bargain, Ikechukwu said he was asked to wait for his turn, as someone was
already on the line.
By the time he came back, Roseline was still on duty just as she pleaded with him to exercise patience, promising to be with him throughout the night.
She later invited him into the room for his turn but was unable to conclude the deal as the commercial sex worker complained of being tired
which forced him to come down.
He reportedly slept off but was woken up by sympathizers who complained that Roseline was
already dead.
“I did not conclude my first round of the deal before she complained that she was tired and that was at midnight. I came down and that was the end of the sex match. I cannot say what led to her death, he said.
Dead body of the deceased have been recovered and deposited in a nearby hospital while the suspect is helping the police in their
investigations.

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to consider the state for one of the “Grade A” federal ministries. “Ekiti, being one of the states created last in the country,
deserves a ministerial portfolio that will have direct impact on the people, not just a minister for the
sake of federal character.”
In a statement issued yesterday by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and News Media, Lere Olayinka, Fayose said his position was not to favour any individual but in the collective
interest of Ekiti people.”
He said all Ekiti indigenes must work together for the progress of the state not minding diverse political interests, adding, “my interest, first and foremost, is the collective good of Ekiti and its people and I will continue to lend my voice to the
promotion of Ekiti interests.”

“Our people want one of the best ministries where developmental efforts of the state government can
be adequately complemented, not just a ministry that will only be of benefit to the minister and his
immediate family members,” the governor said.

Buhari is a sectional President - Fayose

Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state yesterday took another swipe at President Muhammadu Buhari over the appointment of Prof Mahmood Yakubu as the chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Fayose claimed that the appointment of Yakubu, a northerner by President Buhari - also a northerner- has gone a step further in proving that Buhari is a sectional president who is shortchanging the southern part of the country, especially the Southwest.

He cited examples of past Presidents and Heads of States who didn't appoint people from their region to head the Electoral Commission to back his claim.

President Buhari on Wednesday at the Council of State meeting appointed Prof Mahmood Yakubu as the chairman of INEC

Drama, as Saraki refuses to enter dock at Tribunal

Drama ensued at the Code of Conduct Tribunal yesterday, during the trial of Senate President Bukola Saraki, as he refused to step into the dock when his case was called.

Saraki’s refusal to leave his seat for the dock led to an argument between his lead counsel,
Mahmud Magaji (SAN), and the prosecutor, Rotimi Jacobs (SAN).

According to Jacobs, once a person's case is called, he or she should step into the dock, irrespective of their status.
Magaji argued that there was no need for Saraki to enter the dock, citing Section 22(m) of the Evidence Act to buttress his submission.

Tribunal chairman, Justice Danladi Umar however overruled Magaji, directing him to ask Saraki into the dock.

Radio Biafra Director, David Nnamdi Kanu reported arrested

Director of pirate radio, Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, was on Saturday, reportedly arrested by Nigeria secret police, the Department of State Services (DSS).

This report was gotten from a statement published on its website, the separatist movement also confirmed that their Director has been arrested in Lagos by the Nigerian authorities, noting that it (Nigeria) has through this arrest played into the grand strategy of Biafrans.

Read the statement below.
Nigerian government this week made the greatest mistake of the century by the arrest of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and director of the Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.
Nigeria made the mistake of equating Biafra to Nnamdi Kanu. Muhammadu Buhari may have been ill-advised that arresting and unlawfully detaining Nnamdi Kanu will quench the fire of Biafra raging across the world. How mistaken they are.
How can one stop such a raging wave that has ubiquitous structure across the world by arrest of a single man?
Buhari and Nigeria inadvertently played into the grand strategy of Biafrans. Biafrans have waited for them to make this move. With the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, Nigeria has given Biafran a perfect excuse to increase the agitation for their freedom. They have given reasons for so may world governments seeking to help Biafrans to wage into the matter!
Similar to the unimaginable local and international free publicity of Radio Biafra by the Nigerian government when it unsuccessfully tried to shut down the daily broadcast from the Biafran freedom radio, the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu will escalate the Biafran restoration cause to unimaginable corners of the world.
Kanu has always spoken about the rascality, irresponsibility and oppression of Nigerian government. Infact the fulcrum of Kanu’s daily’s broadcast from Radio Biafra lies on the unquenching zeal of Nigerian government to repress freedom of speech and respect of human rights.
What else can demonstrate this to the international community, who the Biafrans have been wooing for a long time to turn to the aid of Biafrans, than the arrest of Kanu. Imagine the modern world where Alex Salmond can speak about the independence of Scotland from Britain without getting hounded not to talk of arrested.
Imagine the Spanish government arresting Artur Mas for agitating for the independence of Catalonia? This is exactly what the Nigerian government has just done. The international community will clearly understand such message.
No other example can clearly demonstrate the plight of Biafrans under the Nigerian government than the arrest of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) for seeking the liberation of his people.
It is very laughable that Buhari who has failed to arrest the sponsors and leaders of Boko Haram terrorists group killing and maiming innocent people, preferred to go after Biafrans who are peacefully seeking freedom from oppression and injustice.
Instead of dampening the Biafran spirit, Kanu’s arrest has intensified the passion and resoluteness of Biafrans.
By the way it is way too late to arrest Nnamdi Kanu in order to stop Biafra. Kanu has virtually completed his work. He has laid the foundations for the restoration of Biafra. He has raised the conscience of Biafrans across the world. As it stands today there are a thousand and one Nnamdi Kanu who are able and willing to carry on.
