Covid'19 Is stay at home getting boring? Get tips on fun activities - Victoria Abidoye

Stay at home will never sound more pleasing to the ears of a fresh out of college graduate that has been slaving over making ends meet. Most people will see it as a time to unwind and rewind, to rest and recuperate, to exhale and inhale, meet up with deadlines, finish up tasks that you have been putting off etc.

If you, like me stay in Lagos, you’d have heard the gist that this stay at home for two weeks gist has been postponed till further notice and while many of us would begin to get angry and rant and take the time to express our displeasure over social media which is our mobile world, we can also channel all of that energy into doing something that can better us, so that by the time we come out of this lockdown we would really have been refreshed and reenergized.

Below are some tips on things you can do to have fun in this period. Read and thank me later

You can brush up your cooking skills. Now is the time, you are not going anywhere, so you cannot complain about insufficiency of time.

Work out. Yes, there is nowhere you’re walking to and this time can be when you gather a whole lot of fat which is highly unhealthy, so, workout, stretch yourself, do things you wouldn’t normally do, break those new grounds my dear. You can also jog around your area. No Police would catch you.

Watch DSTV. There are interesting channels on DSTV you can watch. Explore, movies     are not always useless afterall. They could impart great lessons.

Read those books you’ve been keeping off, finish that book you started a long time ago.

      Join an online community.

Monetise your skills and knowledge. A way to do this is to have a WhatsApp training for a minimal fee

If you’re a Christian and you know you’ve been on shaky grounds, make your way right with God. What better time to do it than now?

Set targets for yourself, break those habits you want to break and cultivate new ones.

Always try to be happy, make yourself happy and be proud of yourself.

Dance and dance. You can learn how to twerk or make use of some YouTube tutorials.

Start up a blog. Pretty simple and free. Visit www.blogger.com   to start

Start up a Vlog. You can start by making educative videos posting on your social media platforms such as YouTube, WhatsApp status and Facebook. Who knows, the biggest global Vlogger may be on the way.

For either the blog or vlog, choose a topic you are passionate about and make posts on it e.g gossip, makeup tutorials, book reviews, cooking blog/vlog, cleaning tips e.t.c
