At least four persons have been confirmed dead in a building collapse in Imo State. Also six people fwere said to be rescued alive from the same three storey building collapse.
The collapsed building is situated at No.9 Egbu road, by fire service junction in Owerri and the incident was reported to have occurred on Sunday Morning.
Possible reasons for this collapse is the structural defect of the building because the Landlord allegedly added two more floors to the building without approval.
The Imo State government has therefore instructed that all ongoing building construction should go for re-verification before completion.
