How are y'all. I tender my sincere apologies for the changes on the blog now and again.

I am trying to make an awesome blog for you and am doing this design myself. I promise to give the blog a beautiful and permanent design soon.

I also apologize for my inconsistency and for not posting some of those very thrilling topics we talk about.

While working on a permanent design, I will keep up with posting news and gist and all that the blog was created for.

Beenie Man billed to perform alongside Drake contracts deadly zika virus.

The Grammy award winner who was supposed to be performing in Drake’s OVO concert in Canada, announced that he has contracted the deadly mosquito-borne Zika virus. 

Announcing it via his Instagram page, Beenie Man said the Canadian government denied him visa as a result of the disease. He also revealed he had the dengue virus also from mosquitoes.

He wrote on his instagram page that:

Jah know...dah week ya deal wid me a way!! ⚠ No visa fi mi Canada show (I apologize again to my fans in case you haven't seen the press release) ⚠ Zika Virus hol' mi ⚠ The same Zika mosquito gi mi dengue. 😠 Blood test, injections, pills. Woman shot dead in downtown shootout, Austin Texas

A woman has been shot dead in a shootout in downtown, Austin, Texas.

In a multiple shootout in Austin, Texas; a young woman in her 30s has been shot dead while some others have been injured.

Police said two separate shootings took place in the same area of the Texas city and that both scenes were secure. 

They also advised residents of the area to remains indoors and avoid the streets.

Multiple shootings in Downtown Texas

The Austin Police Department, Texas had warned people to stay away from downtown.

According to the Officials, there have been separate shooting incidents in downtown Austin and there are multiple victims.

They posted on their verified Facebook and Twitter pages that there was an active shooting incident downtown just before 3 a.m. About a half-hour later police said the scenes of the shootings were secure.

PDP Youths begs former Nigeria President to intervene in party crisis

In a statement released by the Youths of the People Democratic Party, they have implored the former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to intervene in the present crisis going on in the party.

The statement written by the National Leader of the People Democratic Party Nationa l Youth Frontier  expressed their dissatisfaction over the present state of the party and especially over the ruling delivered by the Court.

The statement read:

“The judiciary must not be a place were anyone runs into and hide his misdeed, it is now clear that Justice Okon Abang has turn his own arm of judiciary to be a rubber stamp for anyone who can afford the bid.

“We ask all concerned to wave into this judicial rascality exhibited by Justice Okon Abang before it eats deep into the marrows of our democracy. He is not only a threat to democracy but also a threat to human rights and stain to the bench.

“PDP is a family and each time it has internal misunderstanding, the said Justice Okon Abang dives in to set fire on a fresh wood. It is alarming how much interest he picks on matters that concerns the PDP.

“The manner and mode in which judgements are obtained from Justice Okon Abang is an abuse to constitutional rights, cases brought before him are not studied, neither are they carefully listened to. He gives judgement contradicting same judgement from court of the same competent jurisdiction, High court over ruling High court judgement, and to this we find it absurd for an arm as the one he controls finding solace in misinforming the people, it is very unfuturnate. He did the same thing in the Abia state governornorship election case that has placed the duo of Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu and Dr. Uchechukwu Ogah in a tight conner. “He is doing same is on this matter. We totally say no to this act of using his office to stain the country’s judiciary and making it a laughing stock.

“We therefore call on the National Judicial Council to as a matter of urgency remove Justice Okon Abang and further probe his ill judicial rascality and constitutional doctoratings to save our judiciary, as well as our democracy.”

“The PDP youths are as a matter of urgency, also calling on concerned advisory bodies like ex-President Goodluck Jonathan to come into this lingering matter and safe our party from the hands of scoundrels who seek to shortchange the party for their self interest.

“We plead with ex-President Goodluck Jonathan to please call the two factional heads, Ali Modu Sheriff and Ahmed Makarfi on a resolution table so that the party can further focus on its future.

Buhari approves appointment of heads of five strategic health institutions in the country.

President Muhammad Buhari has appointed new heads of the five strategic health institutions in the Country.

In a statement issued by the Director of Press and Public Relations in Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Bolaji Adebiyi. 

He appoints a new head of the Centre for Disease Control is the Managing Partner of EpiAfric, a public health consultancy firm that focuses on Africa, Dr. Chikwe Andreas Ihekweazu, taking over from Prof. Abdulsalami Nasidi.

Also, Dr. Sani Aliyu, a consultant in Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at Cambridge University, U.K. is the new head of the National Agency for the Control of Aids, taking over from Prof. John Idoko.

The President also appointed Prof. Babatunde Salako as the head of the Nigerian Institute for Medical Research. He was the Provost, College of Medicine at the University of Ibadan before his new appointment. He takes over from Prof. Innocent Ujah.

A professor of Paediatrics and Public Health at the University of Nevada, in the United States, Prof. Echezona Ezeanolue was appointed the new Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency. He replaced Doctor Mohammed Ado.

The National Health Insurance Scheme is now headed by Prof. Usman Yusuf, who until his appointment, was a professor of Paediatrics at St. Jude Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee in the United States. He replaced Mr Olufemi Akingbade, who was in acting capacity.

All appointments, according to the statement, takes immediate effect.
