An eye for an eye will leave Nigeria blind - Atiku Abubakar

Former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, has said that an eye for an eye will leave Nigerians blind.

This was as a result of the quit notice issued to some Igbo residents in the North.

Abubakar has said in a statement that the issue was generating heat in the polity, adding that the counter-notices issued to other Nigerians in certain parts of the country, were among the ripple effects.

The statement titled "An eye for an eye" reads

“First and foremost, it is a fallacy to believe that there are people of northern or southern origin. Nigeria only has people of one origin. We are all of Nigerian origin. As Nigerians, we must be pragmatic enough to realise the obvious truth that an eye for an eye will leave Nigeria blind.

‘Let me at this juncture remind these “quit noticers” that when brothers fight to the death over a domestic dispute, it is their neighbours that eventually end up inheriting their father’s property.

It is also for this reason, among others, that I have urged and still urge that Nigeria should be restructured and that state of origin ought to be removed from our constitution and other relevant laws and policies, to be replaced by state of residency.

If we, as Nigerians, are tied to our residency, rather than the state where our ancestors originated from, this whole idea of quit notice would not have arisen in the first place.

Let us remember that though we have many ethnic nationalities in Nigeria, we are all largely of one race. In the United Arab Emirates, foreigners exceed the native Emiratis in number, yet the UAE is one of the most peaceful nations on earth. If people of different races can live in peace in South Africa and the United States, why can’t we do the same here?”

North Korea vs US crisis doesn't stop tourist from visiting Guam.

For over a week now, there has been serious words exchange between Pyongyang and Washington resulting in Donald Trump vowing to rain down "fire and fury" while North Korea retorting that Trump was saying "load of nonsense" and that he was "bereft of reasoning"

The crisis came in as a result of the New United Nations sanctions condemning the North's rapidly developing nuclear program drew fresh ire and threats from Pyongyang.

Guam is a key outpost for the U.S. military, which uses it as a base for bombers and submarines.

The island's sandy beaches and aquamarine waters makes it a popular getaway for travelers from Japan and South Korea. Guam is only about three hours by plane from major cities in both countries.

Despite the issues, travellers and tourists haven't stopped pouring into Guam.

Won Hyung-jin, an official from Modetour, a large South Korean travel agency, said several customers called with concerns, but they weren't worried enough to pay cancellation fees for their trips.

Chiho Tsuchiya from Japan heard the news, but she decided to come anyway with her husband and two children. "I feel Japan and Korea also can get danger from North Korea, so staying home is the same," said the 40-year-old.

"It seems North Korea racks up tension once or twice every year, and travelers have become insensitive about it," Won said. His company has sent about 5,000 travelers to Guam a month this year, mostly on package tours.

The U.S. territory has a population of 160,000, but it attracted 1.5 million visitors last year. One third of Guam's jobs are in the tourism industry.

Trump is a guy breft of reasoning - #North Korea's Nuclear weapon threat and US response

North Korea's threat to the US for the new United Nations sanction has not gone unattended to.

There are fresh evidences that the North Koreans have overcome one of its major obstacles to being able to hit the US with nuclear armed missiles and this has gotten wild reactions and scare in the US and around the World.

Donald Trump in a video earlier on has reacted to the Threat saying:

“North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States,” Trump told journalists at his club in Bedminster, New Jersey. “They will be met with fire and the fury like the world has never seen.”

Kim Jong-un's regime seems to be ready after all as they retorted at Trump calling him "a guy breft of reasoning". They went on to give a detailed plan to launch missiles aimed at the waters off the coast of the US Pacific territory of Guam.

A statement attributed to General Kim Rak Gyom, the head of the country’s strategic forces, reada: “Sound dialogue is not possible with such a guy bereft of reason and only absolute force can work on him”. The general outlined a plan to carry out a demonstration launch of four intermediate-range missiles that would fly over Japan and then land in the sea around Guam, “enveloping” the island.

Expect more details of the planned attack soon.

Chris Brown's daughter launches Kids Clothing Line

Chris Brown's 3-year-old daughter Royalty Brown just launched her fashion line for kids.

She is a fashion designer.

Royalty got a little help from her mama Nia Guzman in creating the unisex kids clothing line but little RoRo definitely put her stamp of approval and signature style on the threads!

The preschooler's mission statement is to offer clothes "for the fun and energetic kid with an outgoing personality."

Quite impressive really that a kid of that age can have something as creative and worth while as that.

Parents should encourage their kids to be creative and follow after their passion.

We Ladies love to be appreciated and most times a guy calls you sexy and you are all mushy and all, but have we ever sat down to think about it critically or analytically?

Well, I saw a Lady, Ify Omeni's post on WhatsApp on being sexy and I thought it would be worthwhile to share it.

"SEXY OR CHRISTLY
She was weeping bitterly as if she was bereaved and I was really concerned. I waited patiently while she composed herself and told me what was bothering her.

‘He called me sexy,’ she said, in a tear filled voice.
‘Who?’
‘My colleague. I feel so terrible. That means I have been projecting the wrong image.’

I was tempted to laugh as I got the drift of the conversation. My weeping friend is a Christian and was enraged that a colleague saw her as sexy. According to her, it means she is not Christlike.

‘People should see me and see Christ!’ She screamed angrily.

I meditated on her words and saw reason. As usual, I checked the meaning of the word, Sexy. The WordWeb defines it as, ‘marked by or tending to arouse sexual desire or interest.’ or ‘exciting sexual desire. I was shocked to see the definition. No wonder my friend was so distressed. If a man sees you and feels this way, I don’t think that is very flattering.

The word, Sexy is usually used to describe a lady that looks very alluring and most ladies feel excited when they are described that way. But in reality, the word sexy means ‘full of sex.’

My husband or my fiancé (probably) can call me sexy, but another man? No! I will feel like the other lady did. So I did my own coinage. I want to be called Christly. That when people see me, they should see Christ. They should see you coming and say, ‘Don’t say that thing. Female Jesus is here.’

So young lady, ask yourself, are you SEXY or CHRISTLY?"

August Vacation.

Wait...

I actually took a break last years August and the reason for that was to complete my undergraduate program.

And sincerely, I am sorry for that abrupt, permission-less leave.

It took a while to return because I was wondering, how can I make our blog better.

I decided that since we are fabulous gist, we would keep being that but each post we make on the blog would be a gesty kinda post but from the perspective of the author.

We would retain the descriptions of the blog's content tho.

So y'all get ready for gist. Grab a chair, get popcorn and coke and y'all let's dig it...
