Donald Trump to Resign

If opinions of those who know you from the past is anything to go by, the world might need to get set for a major political shakeup.

The ghost writer who authored POTUS, Donald Trump’ s 1987 memoir “ The Art of the Deal ” thinks the US president will throw in the towel before the end of his term.
Writer Tony Schwartz tweeted that “ Trump is going to resign” before investigators probing alleged ties between the Republican ’ s campaign team and Russia “ leave him no choice. ”
“ The circle is closing at blinding speed , ” the author tweeted . “ Trump is going to resign and declare victory before Mueller and Congress leave him no choice . ”
“ Trump’ s presidency is effectively over , ” he said in a follow- up tweet . “ Would be amazed if he survives till end of the year . More likely resigns by fall , if not sooner. ”
While writing Trump’ s best -selling breakthrough memoir Schwartz spent 18 months with the billionaire tycoon .
He spoke out last year against the real estate mogul during the presidential campaign , telling The New Yorker magazine that he put “ lipstick on a pig. ”
“ I feel a deep sense of remorse that I contributed to presenting Trump in a way that brought him wider attention and made him more appealing than he is. ”

FG grants Tertiary Institutions permission to conduct PUTME

The Federal Government of Nigeria has lifted the bans placed on tertiary Institutions that prohibited them from conducting the Post Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations as a procedure for admission into public institutions.

This was made known by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu.

He made this known in Abuja noting that post-UTME across all public universities, polytechnics and other tertiary institutions were earlier scrapped in order to know what was going on within institutions.

He said:

“We are going to allow universities to have some choice. Universities can now decide to organise post-UTME, if they want.”

Concerning the hiked Post-UTME fees, he said;

“We have asked them not to impose huge financial burden on the parents. The burden should not be more than what they can bear.

Feels good to be home after seven months, but the White House is very special, there is no place like it... and the U.S. is really my home!

Some of the protesters formed a human wall while others shouted messages like "no hate" or "impeach." Nearby, an inflatable caricature of Trump in the form of a rat was set up at The Plaza hotel.

Trump was criticized because of his statement on the violence following a rally of white supremacists and white nationalists in Charlottesville.

In the President's first remark, he called the violence an act of "egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides."

Two days later, amid mounting pressure, he made new remarks denouncing hate groups, including white supremacists.

He was therefore not welcome in his US home and was met with protest...

John Ude responds to brutality meted out to him by OAU Student Union Security...

OAU Student Union Security had reportedly beaten up a student named John Ude...

In a circulated broadcast message, John Ude explains what happened with the caption:

"MY SIDE OF THE STORY - HOW I WAS FEROCIOUSLY AND BRUTALLY ATTACKED BY THE UNRATIFIED OAU STUDENTS UNION SECURITY COMMITTEE WITH GARGANTUAN BLOOD POURING OUT FROM MY MOUTH"

Greatest Ife! Articulate Ife! It behooves me at this point in time to meticulously narrate my side of the event which happened yesterday, (Monday, 14th August, 2017) around the Students Union Building bus stop where members of the Students Union Security Committee led by one Sheyman who is no longer a Great Ife Student and an unidentified student by the name Olaoye Gideon (G1).

I was going to the SUB Bus stop as a concerned student alongside the SRC TMC to enforce the resolution of the Parliament which ordered the President to hand over the Union bus to the Transport Management Commission (TMC) in accordance with the provision of the constitution of our sacrosanct Union. As I followed members of the TMC to enforce this decision, Sheyman, the illegally acclaimed CSO, Olaoye Gideon (G1), Kante, Fakay, Lukman (L & K), Leke (a student who recently slap Angola Hall Chairman that was recruited by Dr Ibk to the Security Committee and five others immediately upon sighting me throw heavy punches to my nose and lips with heavy sticks dancing at my back while I was matcheted at the back at the same time. All these happened at the back of the President office as I was forcefully walked down to the place by these thugs.

ON BEING EXPELLED FROM THE LEFT
To my utter dismay, I read a release from the Security Committee late yesterday night that I was expelled from the left. This is untrue. I was never expelled from the left. I only voluntarily renounce my membership of Pacesetters Movement which is one of the left organization. How does my voluntary renunciation of membership amount to being expelled? This defies logic and scientific intellectualism.

ON BULLYING OF STUDENTS
This is a fat lie from the pit of hell. I have never bully any student on this campus as I am a staunch admirer of the no to oppression stand of our Great Union. I wonder why the propaganda of bullying is coming up at this time that am teaming up with progressive minds to enforce the resolution of the Parliament and forcing the administration to do the right things.

ON DISSOCIATION FROM THE SECURITY COMMITTEE
The Students should note that I am a member of the Security Committee, not until recently when I started opposing frauds happening in the Security Committee. It all started when I challenge t Sheyman, the self acclaimed CSO on why suspects caught are not paraded as this is against the tradition of our Union. I raised this issue when I noticed that most of the suspect caught are freed even despite the fact that dispassionately carried out investigation has indicted them of stealing.

It is unfortunate that Sheyman and Dr Ibk connived together to be collecting money from the parents of the thieves caught. Atimes, they collect nothing less than 100, 000 naira to 150, 000 naira from poor parents of the suspected thieves in exchange that they won't be paraded. It was this money making venture avenue that I condemned that I suddenly become their overnight enemy. Should our Union be a platform of collecting money from cold blooded criminals in exchange for their release? I weep for the future of this Union. I have seen some cases where some students who have problem will personally purchase patrol to the Union bus and yet, these students won't be rescued as the President will use the bus for his official use. I plead that all these should stop but unfortunately, everything fell on deaf ear. I internally condemn the way members of the Committee are sleeping with their girlfriends in the Security Committee room, I was labelled a traitor for this. The rot has gotten to the point that members of the committee have sex with female students who have allegations levied against them with the promise that they will be exonerated. It is all these that I frowned at that led to me being attacked. These are what led to me being labelled a traitor. These are what led to me being punched by over 10 hefty men with blood flowing out of my mouth.

CONCLUSION
It is high time Great Ife Students rise up and defend their Union. The Dr Ibk led administration is a money making venture Union. The President and the Security Committee are not concerned about Students welfare. How they will make money through the Union and feed pensioners is their priority. This is also a time for the Parliament to fully assert her power by disbanding the thuggery Security Committee turned Presidential bodyguard and constitute an integrity filled one to truly serve and defend the interest of Great Ife Students. Meanwhile, I am not deterred. I cannot be conquered by tyranny and heavy beating and I will never bow to fear until sanity is restored to this Union.
