When playing candy crush, no matter the level you are, if you fail, you are always given a second chance.

If you exhaust the life given, no matter how many times you exhaust the life given; It may take a little while but you still have the chance to do it again.

And after many failure, there comes this joy when you finish a game you previously failed even after 20 times.

This is a lesson about life, you always have a second chance no matter how bad you misused the first opportunity given.

President Muhammad Buhari in London for Support Syria Conference

President Muhammadu Buhari just arrived London after leaving France where he addressed the Plenary Session of the European Parliament and attended Bilateral Meeting with the President of the European Commission in Strasbourg.

The President is in London to participate in the Supporting Syria Conference 2016.

The purpose of this Conference is to raise the money needed to help millions of people whose lives have been torn apart by the devastating civil war.

Chairman of the APC, Edo chapter allegedly suspended

Mr. Matthew  Ehigie, the party Chairman for APC, Edo Chairman has reportedly been suspended for alleged anti-party activities.

According to Mr Ehigie, he is still the Chairman of the APC because they did not follow the due process of suspending an elected member.

He said at a meeting held by the party executives at the party’s secretariat, he that he is till the Party Chairman. He further alleged that the signatories to the suspension order do not only lack the power to call  a meeting of the council executive  but that they were financially induced.

He said: “As I speak to you, I remain the party chairman for Orhionmwon council because they did not follow due process of suspending an elected chairman.”

In a resolution, 20 executive members out of the 35 members passed implicit confidence in the leadership of the council Chairman, Chief Ehigie.

OAU Student Union Executives appeals to NANS not to embark on Solidarity protest.

In an open letter from the Suspended OAU Student Union Executive, they appealed to NANS not to embark on the proposed protest slated for today.

The President, PRO and AGS of the Union were suspended for 6 and 4 semesters respectively which is for a long period of 3 academic year.

Here is what the letter entails:

ON THE PROPOSED NANS PROTEST
Great Ife,

First and foremost, we sincerely appreciate all concerned comrades that have contributed towards our struggle. The National Association of Nigeria Student(NANS) Zone D planned a solidarity protest on OAU campus for tomorrow February 3rd, 2016. The intervention is to show their support and solidarity for the current attack on the students' union. We should recall that three students' union leaders: The president, Secretary General and PRO are currently suspended with the activities of the union also suspended.

While we appreciate the proactive solidarity of NANS and must confess that we are overwhelmed at the undaunted effort since the inception of the welfare struggle, we must also say that before now, consultations and dialogue have been on going as regards our reinstatement and that of the union by some key stakeholders.

We find NANS intervention very impressive but we beseech NANS to allow us to exhaust this diplomatic approach to a reasonable extent.

We suggest that we anticipate the outcome of the numerous consultations as embarking on a protest may be MECHANICAL and too SPONTANEOUS
Our appeal for the suspension of the protest is also as a result of the progressive and hope-filled talks between the university management and the NANS delegate today. The meeting has promising end to the diplomatic means being employed.

We will therefore call for cease of NANS protest on OAU campus tomorrow in other to have continuous dialogue and talks with the management on the reinstatement of the union leaders and the most radical union in Africa.

We sincerely express our deepest appreciation to NANS comrades, and the senators across southwest.

Fayose says President Muhammad Buhari is wasting Nigeria's resources on foreign trips - Gov Fayose

Mr Ayodele Fayose, Governor of Ekiti State has said that President Mohammadu Buhari should stay at home and find solution to the numerous problems confronting the country, instead of wasting the nation’s resources on unnecessary foreign trips. That Ministers or the Vice President should be delegated such duties.

He said this in a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka.

According to the Governor; “Foreign countries won’t solve our problems for us and the President’s incessant foreign trips is already bleeding the economy with about $1 million being spent per trip.

The President should rather listen more to those of us who criticise him instead of those hailing every of his wrong steps either because of what they intend to gain or for fear of persecution.”

Book Haram members are seeking cheap media attention - President Muhammad Buhari

President Buhari has said that the Islamic Sect, Boko-Haram had suffered so much from the consistent bombardments of their hideouts by the Nigerian military and had resorted to using desperate measures to gain cheap media attention.

The President said this in a condolence message to victims of recent Boko Haram attacks in Chibok market, Dolari Internally Displaced Person’s (IDP) camp in Borno, and the Gombi market in Adamawa.

He said “Having lost the war, they are seeking ways and means to gradually find their way back into society. They are not returning to contribute, but to cause more havoc.

“They are so desperate to embarrass the government and the people that they have no qualms attacking isolated communities and markets,’’

“I urge all citizens, wherever they live, to own the war against terror and to be part of the fight, because it is the only way we can finish the remaining work that needs to be done to make our country safe again,’’.

He extended his condolences to all the people of Chibok, Gombi and Dolari who lost loved ones in the recent bomb attacks.

He also prayed that the Almighty God would comfort them and grant the injured persons quick recovery.

PDP Ex Secretary confesses to rigging election for Gov. Ayo Fayose

The former Secretary to the Ekiti State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr. Temitope Aluko, told news men in Abuja that former President Goodluck Jonathan gave Governor Ayo Fayose N4.7bn cash to prosecute the June 21, 2014 governorship election in the state. He also explained how the Ekiti State Governorship election was rigged.

Here is some excerpt from what Aluko said.

“It was about $35m, which is about N4.7bn he gave us for the real election and for the primaries, he released $2m to Fayose. I have details of all I am saying and I was present when they brought the money and it was Senator Musiliu Obanikoro that brought the money, the $35m, which he delivered to Fayose at Spotless Hotel.

“I can name eight people that were there. We were all there because he said he would want us to take delivery so that there will be transparency and accountability.

“Let me just stop there for now, but I am just trying to say that both the security and the funding came from the Presidency and even the primaries money we collected at the NNPC Towers in Abuja here and they took $300,000 from the $2m for courier which was on Monday, 23rd of March 2014 and we took it to Prince and Princess, Fayose’s house, but the N4.7bn came into Ekiti on June 17 2014.”

Governor Fayose responded saying that he would not take Aluko serious because Dr Aluko was bitter.
