Buhari's reaction to the Fulani Herdsmen killings

The invasion of Fulani Herdsmen to different states and the killing of Farmers has taking a new dimension recently and despite this,  the Federal Government has not dimmed it fit to address the nation or visit the affected States.

In Benue State, over 74 people were gruesomely murdered between 31st December 2017 and 17th January 2018 yet the Federal Government has remained silent about it.

Governors from other States and Individuals have on different counts commiserated with the Governor and the people of Benue over the gruesome murder of over 73 persons by herdsmen.

Although he made a release by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu,  he hasn't come out to face Nigerians or to show sympathy.

Also, in another meeting with Benue stakeholders  he was quoted to having said;

“Your Excellency, the governor, and all the leaders here, I am appealing to you to try to restrain your people. I assure you that the Police, the Department of State Service and other security agencies had been directed to ensure that all those behind the mayhem get punished.

“I ask you in the name of God to accommodate your country men. You can also be assured that I am just as worried, and concerned with the situation.’’

However, this statement doesn't even show concern for the lost lives, it further goes to show that the President has not stayed true to his word that 'he belonged to everybody and nobody' he has shown that he is being impartial and in support of the attacks by the Fulani herdsmen.

senator Bruce queried Buhari’s statement, describing restraint from herdsmen by Nigerians as suicidal.

He tweeted “I honestly dont understand how we can ask those being slaughtered to show ‘restraint’.
