Oba Michael Sonariwo, The Akarigbo of Remoland, is dead.
He was a first-class monarch, and was also the incumbent Chairman of the Ogun State Council of Obas.
He died on Saturday evening. He was aged 90 years.
The Oba who was formerly an accountant ascended the throne on July 14, 1990.
He died in the United Kingdom where he was flown to on July 17 after a brief illness.
He spent 26 years on the throne.
