People protesting around Alausa in Lagos State were attacked by hoodlums yesterday.
The protest is against the mass sack of bankers in the financial sector and the ban on street trading in lagos.
The civil societies in conjunction with the Nigerian Labour Congress were protesting in front of NECA building in Alausa Lagos when the hoodlums numbering about fifty stormed the area brandishing weapons.
Protesters tried to scuttle to safety although some were beaten with planks. SOme persons were also stabbed with knives and bottles.
