Students of Obafemi Awolowo University have expressed their dissatisfaction with the absence of All Progressives' Congress vice presidential candidates, Prof Yemi Osinbajo at the Campus Connect programme, organized by the Campus Connect Initiative, OAU, Ile Ife.
The highly anticipated programme, which was organized for Osinbajo to intimate students about the APC's plan for the education sector and the youths, had in attendance representatives of Osinbajo.
The angry students complained about his (Osinbajo's) absence without prior information and the lateness of his representatives who arrived some minutes past noon for a programme slated for 10:00 a.m.
The 2500 seated Oduduwa Hall, venue of the programme was filled to the brim with students waiting for Osinbajo, but the crowd trooped out on learning about Osinbajo's absence.
Dr Dotun Ogunyemi, one of the representatives of Prof Osinbajo, while addressing the few remaining students reiterated the fact that the Buhari/Osinbajo government will make education one of it's priority programmes.
